Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes the information handled by driversoftguide when you read the library, choose privacy settings, or send an editorial message. There are no visitor accounts, uploads, purchases, or device scans.

Information you choose to send

The contact form asks for a name, email address, topic, message, and agreement to this policy. These fields are used to understand the request and respond where appropriate, not to create a marketing list. A hidden website field helps identify automated submissions. Please do not enter passwords, financial details, identification documents, or sensitive device reports.

Necessary technical processing

Delivering a page requires the hosting service to process connection information such as an IP address. The contact API uses an address-derived hash counter with a 15-minute enforcement window; expired counters are removed on the next submission or server restart. Application logs include request identifiers, methods, paths without queries, response status and timing, not form bodies or raw visitor addresses. Hosting infrastructure may maintain its own operational logs.

Providers and purpose

Replit hosts the site and processes requests to it. When sending is configured, Resend transmits contact-form messages to the site's receiving email address, with the visitor's address used for replies. The receiving mailbox also holds correspondence under its own service settings. The application does not create a separate contact database or expose a submitted message publicly.

Choices and requests

Optional analytics and advertising are off by default; no such tags are currently included. The site does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Global Privacy Control is honored as an optional-category opt-out. Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing info@driversoftguidegmail.com or using the Contact form's Privacy request topic. Rights and any required verification depend on applicable law.

Storage and international processing

Browser preferences expire after 180 days. Message fields remain in application memory only while a request is processed; email copies have a separate provider and mailbox lifecycle described in Data Retention. Service providers may process information in locations outside your jurisdiction. Their own privacy terms govern their infrastructure, and this page does not promise a region or retention setting that the site has not verified.

Optional reading-update emails

The optional email-only form requires your agreement to reading updates. We use the address only for that request and related delivery. An address is not subscribed until the visitor chooses Confirm subscription on the linked page. Opening the email link alone does not confirm consent. No publication frequency is promised, and no campaign automation is installed.

PostgreSQL holds the email, pending or confirmed state, request and confirmation timestamps, a 24-hour confirmation expiry, and hashes of random confirmation and removal tokens. Raw tokens are not stored there or written to application request logs. Confirmation mail is sent through Resend only when the sender is verified and tracking is disabled. The form is unavailable when email sending or the record store is unavailable.

Expired pending records are removed when the next enrollment request is processed, not by a background schedule. Confirmed records remain until removal through the emailed link or a deletion request. Removal deletes the enrollment record. Email-provider logs have the provider's own retention. You can ask us about or withdraw email consent through the contact address; browser privacy choices do not unsubscribe an email address.

Your privacy choices

Use the controls below to reject optional processing in this browser or manage individual permissions. An active Global Privacy Control signal takes priority over optional acceptance. These browser controls do not delete correspondence or change hosting-level operational records.

About this notice

driversoftguide provides an independent educational reading library. Questions about the information described here can be addressed to the public contact email below; the Contact page is an additional channel, not a prerequisite for making a privacy request.

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests to receive and answer site-related correspondence and to protect the service from abuse, balanced against visitors' interests and rights. Compliance with applicable legal obligations may also require handling a request or retaining particular records. Consent is the basis for any optional analytics or advertising technology introduced in future; neither is installed now. The contact checkbox records acknowledgement and agreement to handling that request, not blanket consent to unrelated uses.

Additional submission and browsing details

The form creates a random retry identifier in browser memory. An email-derived hash and that identifier are sent to Resend as an idempotency key to reduce duplicate sends. The hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous. A local search query is not sent to an external search company, but a search URL can remain in browser history or be visible to hosting infrastructure.

International transfers

Hosting, email delivery and mailbox processing may take place outside the country where you read the site. We have not verified a particular processing region or transfer mechanism for every account. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those safeguards must be assessed for the relevant provider and arrangement. A provider's privacy notice supplies additional context; linking it does not establish that a particular contractual safeguard has been executed.

Your data protection rights

Subject to applicable law and its exceptions, you may request access to personal data and a copy, correct inaccuracies, ask for deletion, restrict processing, receive eligible data in a portable format, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw optional consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Choose Privacy request on Contact or email us with the address used in earlier correspondence. We may verify your authority before disclosing information. You may complain to your competent data protection authority, including the ICO where appropriate; you need not wait for our permission to do so.

Children and sensitive information

The library is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where that higher threshold applies to the relevant consent requirement. It does not offer children's accounts or collect ages to profile readers. Please do not send a child's personal information or sensitive information about anyone. If you believe such information was submitted, contact us so we can assess removal from records we control.

Protecting information

The public production site is configured for HTTPS. Submission checks, limited request sizes, abuse counters and server-side provider access reduce unnecessary exposure. There is no contact-message database in the application. These measures cannot eliminate risk, and ordinary email is not an end-to-end encrypted channel. Do not submit passwords, financial details or identity documents.

Changes to this policy

The Last updated date identifies the latest revision of this notice. Material changes to collection or use will be described here and, when appropriate, announced with a visible site notice before the new activity starts. If fresh consent is legally required, it must be obtained before that processing begins; a change to this text alone is not consent.
