Corrections Policy

Last updated:

Clear explanations require careful distinctions, and the library can make mistakes. This policy describes how to report an inaccurate statement, ambiguous procedure, broken reference, or misleading illustration without submitting private device information.

A useful correction report

Include the page address, the exact statement or step, and a concise explanation of the concern. Link an authoritative source where possible. For menu differences, identify the operating-system release or language if relevant, but omit serial numbers and unrelated account details. A focused report is easier to assess than a complete diagnostic export.

How a report is considered

Editorial changes should be based on evidence and the scope of the claim. A model-specific exception may require narrowing a general statement rather than replacing it with another universal rule. Reference documentation is preferred for procedures and interface behavior. A request to insert promotional wording or an unsupported affiliation claim is not treated as a factual correction.

What may change

A correction can revise wording, remove an unsupported passage, replace a link, or clarify the limits of an example. Material changes should be represented honestly rather than paired with invented review dates or fictitious reviewer credentials. No guaranteed review or response interval is advertised. The contact channel is editorial and does not become a personalized troubleshooting service because a report mentions hardware.

Submit the correction

Choose Correction on Contact or write to info@driversoftguidegmail.com. If sending is unavailable, the Contact page will say so instead of claiming that a message was delivered. A provider acceptance identifier means the email service accepted a submission, not that its factual claim was approved or that an editorial decision has already been made.

How significant corrections are recorded

For a substantive correction, the page should carry a neutral correction note identifying what changed and the date it changed, without invented editor names or credentials. Minor spelling or formatting fixes need not be presented as substantive revisions. This is a manual editorial process, not an automated public revision log. A correction date should reflect an actual change, not be refreshed merely because a visitor opens the page.
