GDPR & Data Requests

Last updated:

This page explains how to ask about personal information handled through the site. The availability and scope of legal rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law, including the GDPR where it applies.

Purpose and relevant grounds

Contact fields are used to understand and answer a request, maintain correspondence where needed, and respond to legal obligations when applicable. Necessary security processing protects the site from automated abuse. Optional analytics or advertising would require permission before loading, but neither is installed. Agreement to the form's privacy notice is not permission to add the sender to a marketing list.

Requests you can make

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to particular processing. You may also withdraw an optional consent without making earlier lawful processing unlawful. Browser-level permission can be changed through Cookie preferences, while a request about previously submitted correspondence needs a separate contact message.

How to identify the relevant correspondence

Write to info@driversoftguidegmail.com, or choose Privacy request on the Contact form. State the type of request, the email address used in the earlier exchange, and an approximate description of that exchange. Send the minimum context needed. Verification may be needed to prevent disclosing someone else's correspondence, but do not send passwords, account credentials, or identity documents unless a justified secure process has been arranged.

Handling and limits

Requests are reviewed against the information the site controls and the time limits required by applicable law; no shorter response commitment is advertised here. Provider-held operational records and copies controlled by another recipient may require a separate request to that provider or recipient. Where relevant, a person may complain to their competent data-protection authority. No supervisory authority, representative, or legal establishment is invented on this page.

Which request to make

EU and UK visitors can use the email channel below for any of these requests. Explain the desired action in your own words; no special form or paid service is required.

  • Access: ask whether we hold correspondence about you and request a copy and information about its use.
  • Correction: identify inaccurate information and explain the correction you want recorded.
  • Deletion: identify the correspondence you want erased; explain any context that helps assess exceptions.
  • Restriction: say which use you want paused and why, for example while accuracy is disputed.
  • Portability: identify data you supplied that may qualify for a structured, commonly used format.
  • Objection: identify processing based on legitimate interests that you object to and relevant circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent: change optional browser permissions or tell us which consent-based use to stop; earlier lawful processing is unaffected.

Verification and response period

We normally ask you to write from the email address used in the original exchange and provide an approximate date or topic. If that is not possible, we seek a proportionate alternative without disclosing another person's records. We respond within one month, as required by applicable law. Where the law permits extra time for complexity or the number of requests, we explain the reason and extension within the initial month. If a request cannot be fulfilled, we explain the applicable reason and available complaint route.
